Aaron Brown

I am studying for an interdisciplinary MSc/PhD in the Doctoral Training Centre for Bioenergy

Aaron Brown

E: bs11aeb@leeds.ac.uk

Background

BSc Biology at the University of Leeds.

Research Interests

My research interests involve the utilisation of waste biomass and lignocellulosic biomass as a feedstock, particularly in anaerobic digestion.

Why I chose the CDT in Bioenergy

A major aspect of the CDT which attracted me was the interdisciplinary aspect, which allows wider broadening of subject knowledge across a range of disciplines. The first year allows you to work with people from a range of different backgrounds to allow you to explore a wide variety of topics within the bioenergy sector. Working closely with industrial links to combat global issues; particularly climate change, in a dynamic and ever-growing area of research is incredibly appealing.
