I am studying for an interdisciplinary MSc/PhD in the Doctoral Training Centre for Bioenergy
E: pmcam@leeds.ac.uk
Background
I studied Physics at the University of Leicester, completing my MPhys in 2015. My fourth year projects were on physical constraints on the UK energy policy and young planet cannibalisation in developing systems as a cause for Fu-Ori outbursts.
Research Interests
My interest is in the use of biofuels in transport, particularly in aviation. I would like to look into the mechanics and combustion dynamics of using biofuels in engines and turbines, as it is important to fully understand these for current issues to be solved.
Why I chose the CDT in Bioenergy
The CDT offered the opportunity to learn more about the field before making concrete decisions regarding PhD (due to the integrated masters). It also opens up a range of professional development opportunities including networking and industry placements. On top of that it has access to a wide range of facilities and equipment.
