SolidWorks CAD modelling can be used to design and prototype test setups and rigs such as the one shown below, where several transducers are fixed at different heights along a pipe.
SolidWorks can also be used to design and prototype Printed Circuit Boards for use when designing instrumentation systems as shown below with an example of a modelled transducer connection board.
SolidWorks is also integral to our instrumentation and enclosure design.
PzFlex is a Finite Element Modelling package that is specifically designed for simulating ultrasonic fields (developed by Weidlinger Associates Inc.). The software allows various configurations of several material such as PZT and simulates a propagating field as shown below in the phased array example below.
